A 66-second shock brought the Dresden Eislöwen to Loserstrasse in the home game against Adler Mannheim.

The ice lions were caught cold after 66 seconds. And the eagles put a real egg into the nest from the hosts. Mannheim’s Marc Michaelis shot Dresden’s Emil Johansson on the pants and no longer saw the disc. Nicolas used the confusion and poked in 1-0 (2nd).

Eislöwen show strong first third end

The league leader swept the first few minutes over the ice. It was clearly recognizable that a master candidate in Dresden was opened here. But the ice lions bit in and finally took place offensive from the 9th minute. Dane Fox made a first warning shot. Mannheim’s top goalie Johan Mattsson, however, was on hand with the schooners as well as against Austin Ortega (11th).

Now the Saxons, in which Oliver Granz (probably brain concealment) striker Niklas postel in the defense, did not subside. Although two power plays could not be used for scoring, finally the 1: 1 was regularly in the air.

In the second section, the eagles went significantly sharper. Obviously, coach Dallas Ekins was not quite as satisfied during the break. Because the Mannheimers gave up a tooth, Dresden had big problems to gain a foothold again. Kris Bennett then took care of the 2: 0 (26th). On the other hand, CJ Suess had the huge opportunity to shorten immediately. But his graduation from a half-left position was again too central to the outstanding Adler goalie Johan Mattsson.

Julius Hudacek got a lot on the box in the Dresden goal.

EHL-Schlenzer increases to 3: 0

When Kristian Reichel Alexander Ehl served and who was wonderfully at the top of the network (30th), it was clear that a comeback would be very difficult for the promoted team. Dresden remained stable in the outnumbered, but it just didn’t want to work at the front. In the event of a triple invasion of short distance (38th), the possible connection goal was still not possible. However, it would have been unlikely that the game would still be overturned due to the tempo parts of the guests. The shot ratio also spoke a clear language with a total of 36:21. Positive: the ice lions won more bullys (34:21).

Important game in Nuremberg on Sunday

In the final third, the Kurpfälzer switched down several gears in the feeling of a safe victory. Dresden tried to come back again. Again Suess (51st) and Lance Bouma (52nd) had a hit on the racket, but also left out these options. So the ice lion stay without points after two difficult home games. On Sunday at 4:30 p.m. in Nuremberg, the chances must be better used so that you are not finally nested in the table cellar.
