Harry Kane set up a Torrecord for FC Bayern against Werder Bremen at 4-0 (2-0) on Friday evening. In the 104th competitive game since his 95 million euro move from Tottenham Hotspur to Munich a good two years ago, the 32 -year -old striker scored his goals 99 and 100 for the record champions. No player has reached the mark of 100 goals for a club so quickly since the Premier League was founded in 1992.
Almost exactly a year ago, on September 23, 2024, the ex-Dortmunder Erling had marked its 100th goal for Manchester City in the 105th competitive game. The Norwegian was equated with Cristiano Ronaldo, who at Real Madrid from 2009 cracked the 100 goal mark in a little more than two years and also 105 missions. In the 21st century, twelve strikers managed this feat for a club from the top 5 leagues in under 150 games. In the Bundesliga, only Robert Lewandowski, who after his transfer -free switch to FC Bayern 2014, achieved the 100th goal in the 136th mission.
Lewandowski is one of eight players who reached the 100-goal brand at several clubs. For BVB, he made it in 182 games before the time in Munich. Kane is now also part of it, for Tottenham he needed 169 games for 100 hits. Mario Gómez from the Bundesliga were also so dangerous in 188 games for VfB Stuttgart and only 157 games for Bayern, and Claudio Pizarro. The Peruvian was even faster at Werder with 172 games than the record champions (256 games).
Outside of Germany, Edinson Cavani (Napoli & PSG), Neymar (PSG and Barça) as well as Sergio Agüero (Man City and Atlético) are represented by the almost 100 players who were able to crack the 100 goal brand, Ronaldo soon even four times: In addition to Real, he also succeeded in fifth in Juventus, and fifth in the ranking, and at Man United (rank 68 with 253 games). At Al-Wetr FC, he is also about to do with 97 goals in 110 games. In this goal statistics, Lionel Messi (37) does not interfere at the top. The world champion ran 188 times for Barcelona before he made the 100 goals at the age of 22. He thus shares 36th place with Gómez.

And where would Kane be classified if you consider the time before 1992? In all games recorded by the transfer market, the Bayern professional comes to ninth place, including behind the legendary Ferenc Puskás (Real Madrid) and Just Fontaine (Stade Reims). With 77 games, Isidro Lángara, who played for Real Oviedo before and after World War II, is the leader. However, performance data – i.e. games and goals – from the 2nd league and the Copa del Rey are still missing from him. This is also possible with the other players of this time, but the ranking always serves as a classification for Kanes.
