Father of Lamine Yamal is upset about Ballon d’O or

Lamine Yamal was left behind on Monday at Ballon d’Or. His father was anything but happy about it.
The choice for the balloon d’Or 2025 sparked discussions – and a family member of the inferior second -placed one annoyed. While Ousmane Dembélé was happy about the renowned award, Lamine Yamal’s father was incomprehensible.
The balloon d’Or went to the former Dortmund Ousmane Dembélé for the first time, which is currently under contract with Paris Saint-Germain. This decision is not understandable for Yamal’s father Mounir Nasraoui.
Nasraoui was visibly upset in a video call with a reporter of the Spanish football show “El Chiringuito”. He spoke of the “greatest moral damage that can be inflicted on a person”. In his view, his son is “by far the best player in the world” – not because he was his son. He currently sees no competition for Yamal. Nasraoui continues “something very strange”.
Despite the missed award, Yamal was not without honor. The international was again awarded the Kopa trophy for the best U21 player-as the first player in general he was able to defend this title.
He also received support from his partner. The singer Nicki Nicole, who is in a relationship with Yamal, published a photo on Instagram after the award ceremony. She wrote: “My star. I love you.”
