The reform of the Eperon d’Or museum keeps the city busy: heritage groups want the city to reverse the decision. Hilde Colpaert: Representative Heritage Association: “How can a city council, which says it is at the service of the city and its inhabitants, a museum liquidating that the shoe and brush roots of the city cherish and study? A museum that wants to pass on this story and this knowledge to all layers of the population and relentless commitment.”

The city wants to save and says that the museum of brushes and shoes makes a loss of 650,000 euros a year. Eperon d’Or must become an open heritage house, with room for associations and a library. But the heritage associations do not agree with that. They want the city to review the plans.
