Unavoidable appointment of the annual literary agenda, The International Literature Festival (Filba) this week is held its edition number 17, from September 25 to 28. Based on Malba, this year the activities will be deployed in diverse headquarters: Arthaus, the House of Culture, the Paco Urondo Cultural Center and bookstores throughout the city.
Fiftely guest foreign writers and more 80 national authors will participate in the workshops, talks, panels and readings proposed by the festival.
The theme of the year is “Alter”. “This festival proposes a trip because of the unfathomable in one, for ‘the other’ that is manifested in the known world and, also, by the vertigo that reveals that those- Ángels or demons- that appear surprisingly inside us, we are and we are not This edition enshrined to others, in the broadest sense of the word.
The list of guest writers includes Rosa Berbel (Spain), Jon Bilbao (Spain), Juan Cárdenas (Colombia), Amaury Colmenares (Mexico), Gabriela Escobar (Uruguay), Stenio Gardel (Brazil), Pol Guasch (Spain), Ana Paula Maia (Brazil), Lina Meruane (Chile), Aki Ollikainen (Finland), Mónica Ojeda (Ecuador) Patel (Great Britain), Lorena Salazar Masso (Colombia) and Gabrielle Boulianne Tremblay (Canada). Everyone has Spanish editions of their books, which can be easily achieved in Buenos Aires, as the festival is proposed every year.
Among national participants are Gabriela Cabezón Cámara, Carmen Cáceres, Juan Carrá, Julia Coria, Julieta Correa, Santiago Craig, María Sonia Cristoff, Nacho Damiano, Esther Díaz, Federico Falco, Mario Flores, Silvina Friera, Iosi Havilio, Luciano Lamberti, Agustina Larrea, Natalia Laube, Catalina Lascano, Natalia Leiderman, Adriana Lestid Ana Wajszczuk.
