Charles Leclerc was also slightly faster than Max Verstappen in the third practice of the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix in Formula 1 in his Ferrari.

Qualifying will take place later on Saturday.

33 thousandths
The Monegask came to 1.29.735, the difference with Verstappen was 0.033. Sergio Pérez, Verstappen’s Mexican teammate at Red Bull, achieved the third fastest time. Verstappen was also second fastest in both practices on Friday, behind Leclerc. The Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell had a hard time in the last practice session. They placed 11th and 14th respectively.

Missile attack
It was equally doubtful whether the drivers would still race after a rocket attack on an oil depot near the circuit in Jeddah on Friday. However, the authorities assured that the situation is safe.

Qualification
Qualifying will take place on Saturday at 6:00 PM Dutch time. Verstappen retired shortly before the end in the opening race in Bahrain last week, as did teammate Pérez.
