Tanzanian Alphone Felix Simbu won the men’s marathon world championship. Secondly became German Amanal Petros stayed only 0.03 seconds.

This is the smallest profit margin of all time with the World Cup marathon.

Petros already seemed to run away when the men arrived at the stadium, but Simbu rose to the German in the last meters thanks to the soaring final. Petros was still trying to get first over the finish line, but it didn’t help either.

There were stunning pictures of the final battle that remain in history.

– I’ve never seen anything like this on a marathon. Both men and women’s race culminated in the final race. As if it was a 100m race, Petros said.

The number one in the women’s race Peres jepchirchir. He left second in the final round Tigst Assefan two seconds away.
