One of the most beautiful music experiences is still to be able to watch a band. To hear the first single, to see a concert in a small club or at a festival before dusk slump and then be almost live on how the whole thing slowly lifts off.
The debut single of the London band Mary in the Junkyard, “Tuesday”, was released two and a half years ago and Clari Freeman-Taylors Hillig Mmunziger Singing to her dry guitar and a worryingly fast beat by David Addison inspired me from the first moment. “I feel like an alien here/ Breathing from a separate hole/ close my eye and see myself/ high above the city.”
Since then, other electrifying singles and an EP have been released, most recently there was perhaps the best piece of the band, the explosive “drains” in May, on which Freeman-Taylor drives her voice to its limits. “”But if you bury yourself/ I will dig you out again, ”she sings insanely (and) Morbide,“ That’s what lovers do/ if you Hurt yourself i will take you under my wing/ i am your lover and i’m loving you. ”
So far we are still waiting in vain for an album And except for two festival appearances in summer, of which I only heard good, they have not yet played in this country. Therefore, I am really looking forward to your appearance at the Rolling Stone Beach when I am there live when this wild, energetic band stands out from our eyes.
