Netflix hit “KPOP Demon Hunters” brings record: over 300 million views in 91 days.
Three young women on demon hunt, plus a soundtrack full of K-pop hits: The animation musical “KPOP Demon Hunters” is developing into a global streaming phenomenon. As Netflix announced, the film has been called up more than 314.2 million times since its publication on June 20, 2025, and the first title of the platform even broke the 300 million mark.

Global success in record time
The count includes the first 91 days after the publication, since Netflix always only publishes its official leaderboard for this period. Prominent names from South Korea are also involved: actors such as Ahn Hyo-Seop and Lee Byung-Hun take over speech roles, while members of the K-Pop group Twice Songs contributed the soundtrack.

The film song “Golden”, which is not only staged as a mega hit in the plot, is particularly successful, but also breaks records outside the canvas. In Germany he has been leading the single charts for six weeks and was named “Summer Hit 2025” by the GfK. Internationally, the song made it to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and stayed there for five weeks.
The complete soundtrack album also caused a sensation: it got into the Billboard Hot 200, a novelty for an animation project. On Spotify, the songs recorded over three million streams every day after even BTS members tuned the pieces in a live stream.
With the success, “KPOP Demon Hunters” replaces former record holders such as “Red Notice” (2021) and “Squid Game” (2021). The latter series has so far been the most successful Netflix title of all time.
