Number actually even higher

FC Bayern celebrates Manuel Neuer for his 100 victory in the Champions League. You can see this way-however, a query in the transfer market database results in an even higher number. The reason for this can be found in the UEFA rules. At least it can be stated that only three other players have cracked the 100-win brand in the premier class since 1992/93. Only two went with more victories than the Bayern goalkeeper.
In the 3-1 against FC Chelsea, Neu was on the pitch for the 151st time in the Champions League and was able to look forward to a victory for the 100th time – so the official reading of the UEFA, which, however, does not count here after penalty shootout. However, Neuer experienced two of them in his Champions League career: once again at FC Schalke (4: 2 at FC Porto in the quarterfinals 2007/08) and once at Bayern (4: 3 at Real Madrid in the 2011/12 semi-finals). So you could also say that Neuer in the Champions League did not go 100, but 102 times as the winner.
“Of course this is a nice number,” said Neuer after the victory in Europe’s elite competition, so he officially now 100. He is the only fourth player who reaches this brand. According to the TM database, Cristiano Ronaldo reaches 116 victories (2 penalty shoot-out). Neuer’s long-time Bayern colleague Thomas Müller has 112 victories (1). And the former real goalkeeper Iker Casillas 100 (0).
“We ride on a positive wave. It is already a crowning glory how we played and fell down,” said Neuer after the game, at the end of which the sixth competitive victory was in the sixth appearance of the Munich. This laid the foundation stone for equally successful performance in the league of the new royal class season. A place in the first eight of the table is needed to move into the round of 16. Double goal scorer Harry stated on Wednesday evening: “That was the first step.”
After the triumph, the success of the team was also more important than his own milestone. “We are glad that we hit a big team at home. This is a good sign,” said the captain after the convincing success against Chelsea, the club world champion and conference League winner.
