The duo view as early as autumn/winter 2027/28 and published its four forecast key colors on Wednesday.
In the middle of the continued uncertainties of a global poly crisis, the key colors for autumn/winter 2027/28 react to the need of consumers: inside for stability and orientation. They reflect a wide range of emotions and rely on the interaction of opposing nuances that not only appear aesthetic, but also convey a feeling of consolation and renewal.
“Since we continue to live in a time of unpredictability and uncertainty worldwide, the emotions and feelings of consumers play a crucial role in the color selection for autumn/winter 27/28,” said Clare Smith, Senior Color Strategist at WGSN. “Every key color forms the basis for effective color communication, from feelings of freedom and expressiveness to trust and down-to-earthness.”
The four key colors for autumn/winter 27/28
The key colors for autumn/winter 2027/28 were once again selected from coloroos extensive color palette of over 3,500 tones, according to the message. For autumn/winter 27/28, the focus is on Russet, Peaceful Lilac, Maize and Deep Green.
Russet – Coloro code: 013-30-24
Russet is a warm reddish brown that is reminiscent of autumn landscapes and ripening fruits. The color should convey a feeling of stability and confidence, especially in uncertain times. It is perceived as particularly powerful because it is associated with certainty, courage and reliability worldwide.
Peaceful Lilac – Coloro Code: 135-78-11

This gentle purple sets a conscious counterpoint to the darker tones of the season. It looks modern and slightly futuristic, with subtle notes of electronic music and creative forms of expression. Maize brings a radiant yellow tone into the palette that exudes both warmth and luminosity. Their versatility makes them suitable for different materials and seasons.
Deep Green – Coloro Code: 082-30-14

Deep Green combines elegance with a mysterious, almost natural depth. The color acts as an alternative to black, looks universally usable and supports the current trend towards inclusive design. At the same time, the color consumers addresses: inside that are looking for both strength and thoughtfulness in their looks.
