The Douai plant has undergone a profound transformation to adapt to electric vehicles: from May 2023, in fact, production in the Douai plant is 100% electric, thanks to an investment of 550 million euros to build a new flexible standard line with two modular platforms, AMPR SMALL (segment A / B) e AMPR Medium (segment c) and a new battery assembly department. The site for the moment produces four brands: Renault: Megane E-Tech Electric (2022), Scenic E-Tech Electric (2024) and R5 E-Tech Electric (2024). Alpine: A290 (2024) Nissan Micra EV (2025) Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross (2025). With this first important milestone, Ampere demonstrates its ability to produce six electric vehicles of four different brands, giving proof of great flexibility and specific customization capacity for each brand.
