After winning in Heidenheim, BVB wants to celebrate the next success in the Champions League. With this eleven coach Niko Kovač goes into play.

At the start of the new Champions League season, a top-class player is waiting for Borussia Dortmund. The BVB will meet the Italian record champion Juventus in Turin on Tuesday evening (from 9 p.m. in the live ticker at T-Online). After the regular start of the new Bundesliga season, a first success is to be celebrated in the premier class.

The BVB has scored seven points from the first three league apartments. Most recently, the team of coach Niko Kovač acted extremely confidently in the 2-0 away win in Heidenheim. The game against Juventus is now becoming the first real yardstick in the still young season.

The Italians started the season perfectly. The Igor Tudor team was able to win his first three games. Most recently, Juventus celebrated a furious 4: 3 success against Champions League finalist Inter Milan. In Serie A, only the reigning master SSC Naples is in front of the “Bianconeri” due to the better goal difference. Accordingly, a tricky task is waiting for BVB.

Niko Kovač sends these eleven players into the game in the Allianz Stadium:

The BVB list in the overview: Kobel-Bensebaini, Anton, Rerson-Svensson, Nmecha, Sabitzer, Yan Couto-Beier, Adeyemi-Guirassy

The game is directed by referee François Letexier. The Frenchman finally whistled a game of the Dortmund in December 2024. At that time, the “black and yellow” lost 2: 3 against FC Barcelona in the group phase of the Champions League.

The last meeting of Dortmund and Juventus is more than ten years ago. In the round of 16 of the Champions League, Juventus prevailed in the second game after a 2-1 win in the first leg. Carlos Tévez per double pack and Álvaro Morata shot their team in March 2015 for a 3-0 win in Signal Iduna Park.

Nevertheless, BVB should have good memories of Juventus. In 1997 the German Club won its only Champions League title so far. In the final, those of BVB Juventus beat 3-1. Today’s Dortmund managing director Sport Lars Ricken made the decision.
