Pupils from the VTI are working on an art installation with kilometers on Kleeft tape, which will soon become the eye -catcher in the largest hall. With the installation, artist Sven Joncke wants to show the size of the new Kunsthal Brsk. Brent Dekempe, student VTI Brugge: “We have received a total of ten days for this and at that time it must be ready. But we are with a large group, so that must be fine.”
The big opening will take place on the weekend of 20 September. Workers finish the Kunsthal to the last detail until that time. This is the prestige project of the city that will be celebrated with many bells and whistles. Kasper Verhelst, Welcome Brusk: “This is the first phase in which we say: the building is ready and we want to share it with the Bruggeling. This is the Prélude, and in May we get the overture where the building is fully operational.”
