Thiago Alcántara and Hansi Flick had successfully worked together as a player and trainer. Now the two work together again.
A well -known face is back in Barcelona: Thiago Alcántara is now supporting Hansi Flick in the club’s team. The Catalans officially announced this. The former midfielder, who switched from FC Barcelona to FC Bayern in 2013, started his work as an assistant.
The association said that Thiago would focus particularly on tactical questions and the preparation of the training sessions. The 34-year-old should bring in his experience and appearance to enrich the daily work with the team.
Thiago comes from the Youth Academy La Masia and debuted for the professionals in 2009. Under Pep Guardiola he moved to Munich, where the then Bayern coach once from “Thiago or nothing!” spoke. With the German record champion, the Spaniard won seven championships and four times the DFB Cup. In 2020 he celebrated the triple with the Bayern under Flick before he joined Liverpool FC. In the summer of 2024 he ended his active career.
