In 1860 Munich, investor Ismaik wants to get rid of its majority shares. According to a report, an ex-DFB star is interested. The President promptly comments on this.

Jens Lehmann’s rumors about the introduction of Jens Lehmann at TSV 1860 Munich already picked up speed – but the club weighs. As the “Abendzeitung” reported, the former national goalkeeper planned to start with the third division club as an investor and to take over the majority of Hasan Ismaik’s shares. The 55-year-old is looking for support worldwide.

Association President Gernot Mang was unimpressed by the reports on the plans. He explained the “tz”: “There is nothing to be there, so there is nothing to say.”

According to the report, Lehmann should not only act as an investor, but also want to act as a sports director. In addition, a new stadium building in the east of Munich is under discussion – specifically in the Riem district. President Mang, on the other hand, emphasizes that the association has talks with the city about a future in the Grünwald stadium in Giesing.

In the past, Ismaik had stated several times that he was ready to sell – provided that a suitable buyer can be found. In July, a supposed deal with a Swiss donor had burst. So far, Lehmann himself has not commented on the reports.
