Author Juhani Seppänen Died at the age of 67 about a year ago. Now Seppänen’s former wife and the mother of her children Clarisse Berggårdh tells Kodin Kuvalehti about the last years of life of Juhani Seppänen.
Berggårdh says that Seppänen’s drinking increased in 2012. Seppänen had been twice in Minnesota treatment. The magazine reports that Seppänen became ill in his alcohol in his sixties.
Berggårdh was relieved by his ex-husband’s entry to a memory illness and went to see Seppä. According to Berggårdh, Seppänen no longer remembered his family in his rest.
– Who are you beautiful women, are we known? Can we start dating? Berggårdh remembers Seppänen that he has asked him and his daughter.
Berggårdh replied to his ex-husband by telling them that they were together for 26 years. According to him, Seppänen was delighted with the knowledge.
According to the magazine, Seppänen became ill after encountering a throat cancer, which he eventually died. Berggårdh was informed of his ex-husband’s death while on vacation in Lyon, France with his current spouse. He had previously been in the city with Seppänen.
– I went to the places where we had been with Juhan. I wanted to remember everything good, he tells the magazine.
Seppänen’s most famous works are Clearly drunk, Crazy work is doing and The first word is the father. Clearly drunkThe book was published in 2006. The book followed the author’s personal experiences of how he is trying to survive for a year without alcohol.
During his career he drew King alcoholdiscussion program on Yle TV1 in 2010. The program dealt with the disadvantages of alcohol and the impact of Finnish society.
Seppänen was a doctor by education and worked as an occupational health doctor.
