Investment company CVC went to the stock exchange last April. The fund buys companies with the money from institutional investors. Now it is the owner of Theemerk Lipton and perfume chain Douglas.

CVC managed to grow the assets by 10 percent compared to the same period last year, and amounted to 140 billion euros. The management fees were 705 million euros, an increase of 20 percent. A majority of the shares is in the hands of employees of CVC.

Knight Rolly Van Rappard

The Dutch billionaire Rolly from Rappard became rich with the private equity company. He prefers to stay outside the spotlights, but now that the company is listed, he has to make his appearance at shareholders’ meetings.

“We see a positive fundraising dynamic within our strategies,” says CEO Rob Lucas. “We deepen and broaden our institutional customer base, and grow strongly within Private Wealth and Insurance. Although the market environment remains complex, we look ahead with confidence and we are well positioned for further growth.”

The share went to the stock market for 16.35 euros last year, and is now at 16.58. After presenting the figures, today it loses 2 percent at the opening of the exhibition.
