Dance site says Markola died in his hometown in Jyväskylä today Saturday.
Markola was one of the stars of the 1970s, but the tenor sang as a soloist with dance bands in the Jyväskylä regions in the early 1960s. He recorded seven long plays under his own name at the turn of the 70s and 80s. His biggest hit is The morning of love.
