Hannover 96 continued his dream start in the 2nd Bundesliga. The league leader from Lower Saxony celebrated the fourth game in the fourth game with the 2-1 (0: 1) near Holstein Kiel. Phil Harres (21st minute) had given the Bundesliga relegation in front of 14,757 spectators. Virgil Ghiță (62nd) and Benjamin Källmann (69th) met for the guests.

The initially rather defensively oriented Kielers lurked on inattentions of the guests and then quickly switched. After a good quarter of an hour, Holstein became more active and rewarded himself after the first dangerous campaign. A strong flank of John Tolkin, which was surprisingly resolute as a right -back, transformed Harres 1-0.

Hanover was unimpressed. In the 39th minute, a free kick from Maurice Neubauer landed from more than 20 meters away on the crossbar of the Kiel Tor. A little later, Holstein goalkeeper Jonas Krumrey against Jannik Rochelt was on hand. After the change of sides, the superiority of Lower Saxony continued. Only after the deficit did Holstein switch back into offensive mode. But rearing down the storks was too late to give the game a turn. In the end, the third defeat was in the young season.

Next defeat for VfL Bochum: 1-2 against Münster

VfL Bochum slips deeper into the crisis. The 1: 2 (1: 1) home defeat against Prussia Münster was already the third defeat in the fourth game for the Bochumer, who would like to move up again. The Münsterers, on the other hand, had a good start to the season with seven points so far in the second second division year.

With his double strike (27th and 49th minute), Joshua Mees gave the guests the first away win in front of 26,000 spectators, Philipp Hofmann (44th) achieved the interim compensation shortly before the break.

Later compensation: draw between Braunschweig and Bielefeld

Eintracht Braunschweig has overcome the frustration over the unfortunate end in the DFB Cup and expanded the good start to the season in the 2nd Bundesliga. Four days after the defeat in the penalty shootout against Cup defender VfB Stuttgart, the Lower Saxony won a 1-1 (0-0) against the strong promoted Arminia Bielefeld and were even very close to victory.

Christian Conteh (64.) even brought the Braunschweig in the lead. For the Arminia, Isaiah Young (89.) still equalized. Due to the draw, both teams collected seven points after four match days and initially settled in the upper half of the table.
