“There is total political standstill, it is being kidnapped, it is simply not done,” said FC managing director Philipp Türoff in a video message from the club. “Our plans are necessary, moderate and sustainable. Now it is time to go into implementation. That is why we call you up to you: come to the city and take part in our protest march. We want to emphasize our position and enter into our future in a closed voice for our future.”
The demonstration is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. on Sunday with a rally at Heumarkt and then lead through the city center as a march. FC expects several thousand participants. In the evening, the billy goats play against SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga. The kick -off in the Rhine Energy Stadium is at 7.30 p.m.

Florian Dietz leaves 1. FC Köln and joins SSV Jahn Regensburg. The attacker, who had been sorted out at the professionals of the Bundesliga promoter in the summer and was allowed to keep fit with the U21, has found a new club and will be hunted in the 3rd division in the future.
“We had very open discussions with Florian in summer and showed him that it will be difficult for him to come to operating times at FC and to be taken into account for the matchday squad. In the joint consideration it quickly became clear that a change for his further career was the right step,” explains sports director Thomas Kessler.
Dietz has a total of 27 professional missions (three goals) at FC, but had been thrown back by injuries again and again in recent years. Among other things, the striker had contracted two cruciate ligament tears. Now the 27-year-old hopes that his career in Regensburg will pick up a new journey again.
“The time at FC was very special for me. For Cologne in the Bundesliga and the Conference League, my previous career highlight was grateful. I am grateful to have been given this opportunity. Now it was clear that it would not go on for me at FC. That is why I decided to move to Regensburg and look forward to my new challenge. To his farewell.
