Moussa Sylla has been a candidate for the departure at Schalke 04 since the start of the transfer period, but it has not been really specific so far. This could change shortly before the Deadline Day on September 1, as the “Bild” reports. Accordingly, Premier League relegated Leicester City vehemently advertises the professional of the royal blue. In the room there is a transfer between 5 million and 6 million euros, which can increase with bonuses to 7 million euros, as well as a participation in resale.
Sylla came from the French second division club FC Pau in 2024 and was the Schalke’s life insurance last season. He scored 16 goals in 27 second division games-only four players met in 2024/25 more often. The 25 -year -old attacker increased its market value from 2.5 million to 6 million euros, which means that he is by far the most valuable Schalke in the squad. According to the report, another second division team, which is not mentioned, deals with his obligation.
If the Sylla deal goes over the stage, the income of the Schalke increases at least 13.3 million euros-only Hertha and Düsseldorf sold players for even more money. This is opposed to expenses of EUR 1.2 million, which means a positive balance of EUR 12.1 million. The DFL calls for the reduction of negative equity from Schalke, a means of this are transfer surpluses. “We are aiming for a profit similar to last year,” said the new sports director Frank Baumann in an interview with the “Waz“. In the 2024/25 season, the profit achieved on the transfer market was 8.7 million euros.

It is not yet clear how a possible departure of Sylla is compensated for. With Pape Meïssa Ba, whose switch to the Queens Park Rangers burst, the strong Bryan Lasme, Emil Højlund, Peter Remmert and also captain Kenan Karaman are in the squad. With the manageable financial options, it could be difficult for the district club to find an adequate external replacement.
