A large nest Asian horners fell out of a tree in the middle of a residential area on Tuesday evening. The police have deposited part of the Van Straelenlaan in Den Bosch. Two beekeepers removed the nest. The scene attracted a lot of attention.

The large nest fell on the sidewalk from the tree. The horners were so aggressive that they even attacked a police car. An older local resident saw the nest lying there and tried to call the municipality. A distribution team of the province is usually responsible for cleaning up a nest.

The woman did not get anyone and therefore called in the Beekeeper Association Den Bosch. Two beekeepers arrived on the spot to remove the nest. They have put a large box around the nest and have taken care of the remaining wasps with a vacuum cleaner.

A report has been sent via Burgernet in which people are advised to get close to or touch the nest. Many people were watching what’s going on.

Risks
The Asian hornet is According to the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority An invasive exotic spotted in the Netherlands for a number of years. At first glance, the wasp species does not look so threatening, but can entail serious risks for both humans and nature.
