At the European Championship
German basketball star becomes TV expert

Moritz Wagner cannot help the German national basketball team at the European Championship on the court-he is still injured. He now has a new task for this.
Although Moritz Wagner cannot stand on the floor even at the European Basketball Championship in Finland, he still remains closely connected to the tournament: the basketball world champion will be in use in magenta as a TV expert. He will also accompany the appearances of his brother Franz Wagner – and bring in his own perspective.
The 28-year-old is currently working on his comeback in the United States after tingling the cruciate ligament. From there, it is switched on live and his assessments of the games of the German team and other games. “I’m not one who takes a leaf out of my mouth. It is now a completely different perspective,” said Wagner.
In addition to him, Magentasport also provides a team of experts by Günther, Ireti Amojo and Marie Gülich. The games of the German national team are also broadcast on RTL.
The NBA professional from the Orlando Magic sees the chances for the German team positively-even without his own participation. “What we can expect from this team are like every year: if we don’t play for the gold medal and not for winning the tournament, we are on the wrong line.”
The European Championship begins this Wednesday. Germany meets Montenegro at the start at 3:30 p.m. in the Finnish Tampere. The tournament runs until September 14th, the final round will be held in Riga.
