In Formula 1, Logan Sargeant made an inglorious finish. But his motorsport career has not yet ended.

Ex-Formula 1 driver Logan Sargeant continues his career in the North American racing series IMSA. The 24-year-old American will start for the PR1 Mathiasen team.

Sargeant drove from 2023 to 2024 in Formula 1 for Williams, but could not convince there. He was clearly inferior to his team -mate Alex Albon and mainly noticed through too many accidents that cost his team a lot of money. In the course of the 2024 season it became known that Sargeant would lose his cockpit to Carlos Sainz for the 2025 season.

But that ended in the premier class even earlier: after a spectacular accident in training for the race in Zandvoort, which let Sargeant’s car open, Williams team boss James Vowles used to pull the ripcord. He replaced Sargeant prematurely with the Argentine Franco Colapinto.

After his failure in Formula 1, it became quiet about Sargeant. At times, rumors made the round that he would cancel motorsport and end his career. Now he has found a new team.
