Six new bosses on the line: from ten hag to Wagner – the new coaches of the Bundesliga

A co-national coach, lots of Dutch tactics expertise and a type of dream ship captain-six clubs in the Bundesliga start the season with new coaches.

Erik Ten Hag – The coach is the star

In the history of the assistant coach at the national team, there was rarely someone who competed with such a lot of advance laurels. Lukas Kwasniok – even more emotions for Cologne

The permanent burden is still a big topic in football – at Lukas Kwasniok it is largely self -indebted. Kwasniok announced his farewell from Paderborn in April and immediately took himself from the market. He wanted to spend more time with the family and take a longer vacation. But even before the big summer of the Klub started in June, Kwasniok had a new job again: as a coach of 1. FC Köln.

In his idea he flattered directly to the fans and the whole city: “An emotional trainer, an emotional environment – that might be good.” At the first competitive game with Kwasniok as a trainer, the 2-1 win in the DFB Cup near Jahn Regensburg, FC also delivered a real last-minute drama, à la Camp Nou 1999, Manchester United against FC Bayern: With two goals in the sixth and eighth minute of injury time.

Ole Werner – clear order in Leipzig

The Red Bull marketing department found an interesting twist to present the new trainer: The name Werner stands for success at RB Leipzig, read on the Red Bull website, where it was reminded of goalkeeper Timo Werner, who achieved 160 scorer points during his 213 appearances. Fun-Fact: The former international is actually still under contract in Leipzig, but according to the “Bild” newspaper should be on the prank list.

The Leipzig Club still has more than 30 players in the squad a few days before the start of the season. Forming a powerful team from this is the first task of Ole Werner, the new coach. The second, more pressing task for Werner, who came from Bremen: He is supposed to lead Leipzig back to the Champions League, after a place inadequate for the Red Bull breeding days in the previous year. Otherwise, there is a fear, the name Werner in Leipzig should no longer sound so good.

Horst Steffen – at 56 years to Bundesliga newcomer

When Horst Steffen was last seen in the Bundesliga, the reigning German champion was called 1. FC Kaiserslautern. A certain Erich Ribbeck was appointed national coach by his second home in Tenerife. And in 1899 Hoffenheim celebrated its 100th anniversary in the association league Nordbaden.

At that time Horst Steffen played at MSV Duisburg – more than a quarter of a century later, he actually gave his coaching debut in the Bundesliga. Steffen has almost led the Saarland provincial club SV Elversburg to the Bundesliga with impressive construction work. He should now also install his clear, offensive game idea at Werder Bremen, whereby the start with the Cup out of second division club Bielefeld failed. In the tendency, the new Bremen Coach is definitely embodied by a new coaching type: With his calm, friendly charisma, Steffen could also take on the role of the dream ship captain-first of all, he should continue to lead Werder towards Europe.

Paul Simonis – Cup specialist with a clear order

Another newcomer among the Bundesliga coaches works at VfL Wolfsburg: Paul Simonis comes from the Go Ahead Eagles Deventer, which he surprisingly led to the Dutch Cup victory. The team celebrated completely in green bathrobes at the victory parade – the color is already right with the new Wolfsburg coach.
