The war memorial is on the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwmarkt on the Krottegem district in Roeselare. The back in particular is smeared. Who did that is not clear, nor what the drawings mean. Local residents point to the drug environment. The city hopes that the perpetrators will be caught and looks to remove the graffiti.
