In West Flanders it is a precipitation deficit of 280 liters of rain per square meter. In the rest of Flanders, the shortage is slightly less, about 250 liters per square meter. This is due to the persistent drought and especially little rainfall in the months of June and July. This ensures that, among other things, trees are already losing their leaves.
