In the center of Hoogeveen, a fire raged twice last night. The fire brigade managed to prevent worse.
The first report on the barracks came for a container fire in the Hoofdstraat. Shortly after the arrival of the first extinguishing car around 1.30 am a second call came, this time for a car fire a little further on the Haagje. This fire could also be extinguished quickly.
The damage to the car was limited, but the waste container has completely burned out. The police are investigating possible arson.
