Is Josh Knight at Hannover 96 after just one year? According to a media report, the island attracts the central defender back home.

Central defenders Josh Knight played 24 competitors for Hannover 96 last season – and saved the draw (1-1) with a late goal in the Lower Saxony Disease against Archrival Eintracht Braunschweig (1-1). After only one year in the state capital of Lower Saxony, his time in the club is apparently coming to an end again.

As the “Bild” reports, the English defender got on the siding under the new coach Christian Titz. Accordingly, in the internal central ranking, he was only seven. That is why the 27-year-old apparently deals with a farewell.

And according to the report, interested parties should have some. Several clubs from the second and third English league have already asked the Lower Saxony, it is said. The best chances in building around Knight have second division club FC Portsmouth.

Knight, who spent his youth at Leicester City, had moved to Hanover from Peterborough United last summer. There he was one of the top performers in the past season and scored three goals despite his defensive role. In the new season, he was not used in the two league victories or the end of the DFB Cup against third division team Energie Cottbus (0: 1).

Its market value is estimated by the “Transfermarkt.de” data portal to one million euros. Knight’s contract is actually still valid until 2026.
