Hornkamp suspended for Duels Heracles with Ajax and FC Groningen

Veijer finishes eighth in Austria

Zeiler Bos takes silver at EK

Zeiler Duko Bos has conquered silver in the ILCA 7-class at the European Championship in Marstrand. He actually finished third behind the British winner Michael Beckett and George Gautrey. The latter New Zealander was not eligible for a medal at the European Championship.

For Bos this is his second major podium place of 2025. Earlier this year he already won the bronze during the Semaine Olympique Française in Hyères, part of the Sailing Grand Slam.

“This gives confidence,” he responded. “I am very happy with a good danger event. Every race I managed to make something decent, with good speed in the boat. That feels like a new standard. This year it has already succeeded twice and that gives confidence. With peace in your head you make better choices. I am happy with the progression I have made and of course with my silver medal.”

For the women, Maxime Jonker just grabbed a slice in the ILCA 6-class. The sailor finished fourth.

Dirk Kuyt also wins second competition duel with FC Dordrecht

6.40 pm: Dirk Kuyt also won his second game with FC Dordrecht in the Kitchen Champion Division. Joep van der Sluijs scored the only goal in the away match against MVV Maastricht (0-1).

Kuijt debuted last week with a home win on SC Cambuur (1-0) at Dordrecht. Young PSV and Roda JC are also without a loss of points after two duels.

Mads Pedersen wins Tour van Denmark after third stage victory

4 pm: Mads Pedersen has won the Tour of Denmark. In the fifth and final stage, a hill ride from Hobro to Silkeborg over 157 kilometers, the all-rounder of Lidl-Trek turned out to be the strongest in the sprint of a first small group. Pedersen, who already had two stage victories, kept the Frenchman Axel Zingle and the Swede Jakob Söderqvist behind him.

The Italian Marco Bezzecchi, who started from pole, finished fourth. Francesco Bagnaia had to stop the race prematurely and could therefore not grab points.

Elise Chabbey ride winner, Urska Zigart new leader in Romandia

2.28 pm: The Swiss cyclist Elise Chabbey has won the second stage of the Tour of Romandy. It was an arrival uphill in La Tzoumaz. The rider of FDJ-Suez defeated the Slovenian Urska Zigart in a sprint. The Dutch Yara Kastelijn followed third at some distance.

Joan García and Marcus Rashford entitled to play for FC Barcelona

11.28 am: Barcelona trainer Hansi Flick can rely on goalkeeper Joan García and attacker Marcus Rashford on Saturday in the away match against Mallorca. Both players were registered at the last minute by La Liga, the organization behind the highest Spanish football classes.
