The explosion took place last night shortly after four hours at a jeweler on Koorstraat in Alkmaar. Local residents heard a huge bang. “It woke me up,” says an NH reporter who lives near the jeweler.
Part of the store’s roller shutter is damaged by the bang. In addition, soot damage can be seen on images of the damage on the frame of the jeweler.
Police are looking for two people on a scooter
The police were quickly on the spot at the building in the city center, but no one was able to arrest. Just after the explosion, local residents heard a scooter or moped with a talking young man on it. The vehicle would have been driven in the direction of the Ritsevoort.
The police confirm the scooter with two black -dressed people in the vicinity of the jeweler. The jeweler is located in an area where many cameras hang. The police are looking for the two. What their role is in the explosion cannot say a police spokesperson.
