Actually, I thought, not another master’s thesis – and then I did it
says Ztao Zeng. Zeng looks back on an impressive academic career:After graduating from high school in China, I studied through a cooperation program from the then University of Applied Sciences Lübeck and my university in Shanghai in China Chemie and in Lübeck Environmental Engineering,
he tells. For him, the Hanseatic city of Lübeck has become more than just a place of study: It is a wonderful little city and the people are incredibly helpful.
Relevant area in Europe
The first bachelor’s degree was followed University of Lübeck And several years in scientific research. But then came the EU Ordinance for Medical Devices, new regulations-and with them the decision to reorient themselves again: I wanted to better understand the regulatory affairs area. The area is very relevant in Europe. Through my online study, I was able to get to know the latest trends in this young science field.
Learning between work, family and continents
What does Zeng particularly appreciate about the online master? The flexibility! The seminars and workshops take place in the evening and are also recorded – so I can make up for the lecture on vacation in China on the laptop.
Not only the flexible organization, but also the international network make the difference: My fellow students all work in the field themselves or – like me – come from another area. We met personally in Lübeck a few times, for example about the exams. Getting to know on site and the professional exchange are very valuable for me.
Change of technical, new challenges
For Zeng, the move to a new specialist area was a challenge – and in two ways: I knew the technology, the products, but the regulatory background was new. I learned the entire basics through the course. In addition, the technical language is demanding-and not just for me as a non-mother speaker.
He is all the more pleased that the course will be offered bilingual in the future:This is a great advantage for international students.
Networking and practical relevance: more than just theory
Not only the study, but also the opportunities for networking with experts, symposia and workshops are unique
finds Zeng. Through courses with a focus on international regulations, the graduates can look outside the box – not just in Europe.
Track the curriculum vitae as well again
The conclusion of Zeng is clearly from: The online master regulatory affairs at TH Lübeck is great-also in comparison with other universities.
