Meeri Räisänen is aiming for the female lions’ Olympic team.

The perennial credit guard of the female lions Meeri Räisänen35, continues his career in the Men’s Division II in the Gladiators HT shirt. Räisänen also played in the club last season.
– The decision was easy in the final games. The entity in Laukaa and Jyväskylä greatly supports my goal of pursuing a place on the Milan Olympic team, Räisänen says on the club’s Instagram account.
The Gladiators won the championship last season. Räisänen played ten games in the team with an 89.6 percentage of fighting percentage.
– Meer’s example and professionalism helps us all to cross the bar in everyday work. It has been great to see so close to how hard a professional professional is and how much Meeri has developed in a couple of years mentally and physically, the head coach of the team Jani Hakkarainen says.
– Meeri got involved in the team captain last season, which tells about the importance of a much experienced goalkeeper in this environment, for the skills and appreciation of others in our team, Hakkarainen continues.
In his career, Räisänen has won two Olympic bronze medals (2018, 2022) and two World Championships (2015, 2021).
