There was a big surprise at the Swedish Rollski championships in biathlon. An expert showed herself “shocked”.
Summer preparation in the biathlon continues to pick up speed. At the National Rollski Championships in Sweden, a podium surprise has now occurred in the shortened singles.
Behind winner Sebastian Samuelsson and the runner -up Martin Ponsiluoma, Karl Greenland lined up an outsider on the podium.
“I am in shock,” commented the biathlon expert and relay Olympic champion Mona Brorsson the coup to the newspaper “Expressen”.
The surprise man himself revealed: “When I woke up this morning, I didn’t think about it.”
Biathlon: Sebastian Samuelsson “in a good phase”
Greenland does not belong to the Swedish international team in biathlon. The ski hunter left a world champion and Olympic champion behind his home game in Lima with Jesper Nelin (4th).
Meanwhile, the two favorites prevailed in the person of Samuelsson and Ponsiluoma.
“The shape is good. It has felt very good lately, so I’m in a good phase,” said Samuelsson satisfied with the “express”.

In the meantime, Ella Halvarsson prevailed in front of Elvira Öberg and Eline Grue in the shortened singles. “It feels really good. It was fun to be there today and win it,” the winner reacted to “SVT”.
The Swedish Rollski Championships is an important ridge knife during summer preparation. The new World Cup season begins on November 29th in the Swedish winter sports stronghold Östersund. The highlight will be the 2026 Winter Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo in the coming February (6th to 22nd).
