The transfer poker around Nick Woltemade was not hidden from any football fan. During the Supercup, the national coach also spoke about the striker.
During the half -time break of the Supercup on Saturday, Julian Nagelsmann spoke to Sky. He explained to the offensive player on the microphone of the TV station: “This is good news for VfB.” When asked by moderator Sebastian Hellmann, which this means for the German record champions, the national coach said dryly: “I heard, you didn’t want him, so I didn’t want to.”
Nagelsmann explained that he last spoke to Woltemade about his transfer intentions. With a view to the 2026 World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the United States, the national coach is concerned with its players.
“We talked about it because I am interested in playing. All potential national players should get playing time before the World Cup. I only wish that my players play. Where, I don’t care,” continued Julian Nagelsmann.
He also spoke about a possible advantage for Woltemade due to the whereabouts of the Stuttgart. “I don’t have to be a quantum physicist to say that the likelihood of more playing time at VfB is higher than with Bayern,” concluded the national coach.
