Agalified Palestinian (20) dies in the Italy hospital

A seriously malnourished 20-year-old Palestinian who had been transferred from Gaza to a hospital in Italy died there. The woman, identified by the Italian media as Marah Abou Zouhri, had arrived in Pisa a few days ago with a plane from the Italian Air Force.

The patient was emaciated, which expressed himself in considerable weight loss and loss of muscle mass, according to the hospital. After treatment started, she suddenly got breathing problems and a cardiac arrest.

The young woman had flown to Italy with her mother in one of the three aircraft of the Italian army who transported a total of 31 Palestinian patients, accompanied by family members, to Rome, Pisa and Milan this week. The patients had serious congenital disorders, were injured or amputated, according to Italian authorities.

The food supply in the besieged Gaza Strip deteriorated considerably when Israel barely allowed help.
