FC Schalke 04 has top talent Taylan Bulut pulled after five years. The 19 -year -old right -back changes to Turkey, his father’s home country, to Besiktas. The Istanbulers confirmed the change on Saturday and a contract term for the German U19 international by 2030. Before, the Süper-Lig-Club has already published pictures of Bulut on the way to Istanbul.
The replacement that the royal blue collects for Bulut and can use it well due to the financial situation is reportedly 6 million euros exclusive bonuses for market value. There should be no resale participation. Schalke’s income is therefore increasing to over 8 million euros, the second division team only issued 650,000 euros. In the case of Besiktas, the investments meanwhile exceed the mark of 30 million euros.
Bulut had an exit clause in its extended contract in February to 2029 by mid -May – but it then ran. According to media reports, it was staggered between 3 million and 10 million euros, depending on which club is interested. At the time, there was talk that the Gelsenkircheners wanted to collect 8 million euros on the free market.

“The move to Besiktas is a sporty and economically fitting decision for everyone,” said director of professional football Youri Mulder. “The fact that Taylan is moving to a Turkish top team testifies to the very good training he went through in the club. Together with all the companions of the past five years, I would like to thank Taylan for his commitment and wish him all the best for the private and sporting future.”
Bulut from Schalke to Besiktas: In the footsteps of Aílton & Co.
Schalke, born in Eschweiler, had made its breakthrough last season, was in 24 second division games on the field (one goal/assist) and increased its market value to 6 million euros. Schalke thus loses the highest -valued player in the squad alongside striker Moussa Sylla. In the first two season games under the new coach Miron Muslic, Bulut came to joker missions.
Bulut is the seventh Schalke, who is moving to Besiktas this millennium. The first were goalkeeper Volkan Ünlü in 2005 and striker Aílton. Prominent names followed with Fabian Ernst (2009), Edú (2011) and Jermaine Jones (2014). Most recently, Can Bozdogan borrowed the way from the area to Istanbul in 2021. Only four other clubs have switched more Schalke since July 2000 (to the transfer flows).
“I am Schalke very grateful for the years that I had here. The first units at Willi Landgraf, the German U17 championship or the time in the U19 with Norbert Elgert and then with the professionals: I think back to many great moments. I wish the club and his loyal fans all the best for the season,” said Bulut.
