Telstar received a visit from Jan de Jong on Friday evening, the boss of the Eredivisie CV. The driver overlooked his eyes in the renewed stadium. “You have the program Help, my husband is Klusser!. Those who have been doing here can also do that for me,” De Jong jokes.
“A true metamorphosis,” De Jong describes the new Stadium of Telstar. “I was here a few weeks ago and what work was done. That is really unimaginable. It has just become a beautiful football stadium and no longer the smallest in the Netherlands, larger than Excelsior.”

De Jong is very complimented about the way in which the stadium has been renovated. “It went so terribly good and fast. It is very clever that they have achieved this together. Here you can see how important football is and the sense of community. The people in the area have put their shoulders to the wheel together and it worked out well.”
“It will surprise everyone if they do not relegate,” says the driver realistic about the opportunities of the PhD student. “All connoisseurs put them in place 18 in the predictions. Every place is higher than that, I am gambling on 1-1 against PEC Zwolle.”
