One of the drivers who was involved in a traffic accident in Alteveer last night was arrested for driving under the influence. It is a 39-year-old man from Hoogeveen, the police report.
The accident happened around 7 p.m. on the Alteveer street in the village of the same name. A car and a van collided against each other, after which the car stopped against a tree.
Both drivers were injured. In addition to the Hoogevener, it is a 30-year-old man from the Wolden municipality.
The police are investigating the accident.
