One New documentation traces the life of Daniel Küblböck and also illuminates his psychological problems. The musician and former DSDS participant jumped from a cruise ship in September 2018. Despite intensive searches, it was not found. Three years later, he was officially declared dead.
Psychological stress and alcohol problems
The ARD documentary “The Küblböck-Story-Your Lana Kaiser” brings unknown details to light and describes stations of his life. Küblböck, who most recently called himself Lana Kaiser, had to deal with psychological stress.
In the documentary, acting colleague Friederike Dörr reports on joint training times at the European Theater Institute Berlin. She remembers Küblböck’s alcohol problems and described him as “exhausting” during the rehearsals.
Dörr describes his behavior as “worrying”. An incident during the training remained particularly in the memory: Küblböck tipped juice over a mixer of the sound engineering in a sample room. In oranges that were on the floor, there were also knives. Video recordings confirmed that he was responsible for the campaign. For Dörr, this was an indication of a severe psychological crisis.
Voices from the personal environment of Daniel Küblböck
“Jungle Camp” star Olivia Jones, a long-time friend of Daniel Küblböck, reports in the documentation of increasing alcohol consumption and a difficult phase in Berlin. It describes the capital as a environment in which one can quickly get under the bikes. Jones talks about feelings of guilt in the documentary, since Küblböck was recently very lonely and did not want to accept any help. His partner at the time also comments in production and gives reasons for the end of her relationship.
Preparations for a gender adjustment
Already in her autobiography “without make -up” Jones wrote about the time before his disappearance. Accordingly, Daniel Küblböck apparently took hormones for months and prepared for a gender adaptation without addressing this in the circle of friends. In retrospect, Jones said that she would have had to see any signs.
