The acquisition will be perfected in the next few days by William Chisholm, owner of the Symphony technological giant

The Board of Directors of the NBA unanimously approved the sale of the Boston Celtics – currently owned by the Grousbeck family and Steve Pagliuca, a reference shareholder also of Atalanta in Serie A – to the American financier group William Chisholm, co -founder and owner of Symphony Technology Group. The operation, which should be perfected during the week, will lead Chisholm to hold the majority of the prestigious basketball team, winner of 18 national titles, for about 6.1 billion dollars: it would be the second highest value never paid for a North American sports franchise after the transfer of the Los Angeles Lakers to Mark Walter from the Buss family for 10 billion dollars.
