Lahdo played three seasons at AZ, which took him from Hammerby IF in 2022. He never became an undisputed basic player, so he could look out at another club.
Earlier AZ already sold Ruben van Bommel to PSV, Jayden Addai to Como and Ernest Poku to Bayer Leverkusen. The trio yielded AZ more than forty million euros in total. Lahdo could also generate AZ, because an option to purchase has been included in the lease.
AZ will still stir itself on the transfer market. Trainer Maarten Martens indicated that the club is thin in the wing attackers.
On Thursday evening, AZ will play against FC Vaduz in the third preliminary round of the Conference League. The North Holland Derby awaits with FC Volendam on Sunday.
