Aiman Dardari (20) made the leap to the professionals at FC Augsburg. On Wednesday, the FCA announced that the wing striker will be an integral part of the Bundesliga team in the future. The Luxemburger trained at the 1st FSV Mainz 05 is now bound by the Fuggerstädters by 2029. Dardari was recently a stir in the southern Germans in the second test game of the professionals against Crystal Palace, where he scored the 1-0 goal as a Joker.
In January, Dadari came to Augsburg after his contract had expired in Mainz half a year earlier. In the zero fifts, the left wing was part of the successful U19 team, which defeated youngsters in the Youth League and Manchester City’s offspring and only failed in the quarter-finals at FC Porto. A year earlier, the Mainz had won the U19 championship. In the final against BVB, Dardari scored the decisive 3: 2 in extra time. Eleven goals in 22 games of the U19 Bundesliga 2023/24 for Mainz have had six goals in twelve games in the regional league Bavaria for Augsburg since March this year.
“Aiman has great potential,” emphasized sports director Benjamin Weber. “With his urge to offend and dribbing, he has the best chance of asserting himself in professional football – and we will optimally accompany him in this way.” Dardari said about the continuation of his career in Augsburg: “The first few months were incredibly valuable for me and have shaped me personally and sporty. My focus is now on developing me continuously and developing my place in the professional squad step by step is to celebrate my debut in the Bundesliga one day – I will do everything for that.”
