Hemkon Stoff GmbH and that of the fabric Stoffhandels-GmbH register bankruptcy. The management of the two companies already applied for an application for insolvency proceedings in self -administration at the beginning of July, as the company announced on Tuesday. The aim is to stabilize the companies as part of a restructuring and to receive as many branches as well as as possible.
The self -administration is supported by lawyer Eric Coordes by the Mönig business office and MMO Hamer von Valtier from the InsoTeu law firm, which was appointed as a provisional administrator. In the controlling area, Carsten Menzel and Andreas Santen from Beckmann company development gmbh accompany the process. Mentor AG specializes in special situations also responsible for the structured investor process.
“Our clear objective is to maintain as many branches and therefore also jobs as part of the restructuring. We have already been able to implement some measures together with our team of consultants and are intentional towards the investor process,” explains Managing Director Dr. Nina Konjer, who heads the company together with her father Gerrit Konjer and co -founder Klemens Niehoff.
According to Jennifer Baumann from Mentor AG, the focus of the search for investors is on strategic partners with a similar or adjacent range. “The established market presence and the qualified staff offer strategic investors an attractive investment opportunity. In this way, bankruptcy law enables the location and cost structure to adapt to the needs,” said Baumann.
The fabric company has existed for 25 years and runs 39 shops and two online shops. The range includes fabrics, short -minded, accessories and sewing machines.
