Separation after only two match days: Football third division Waldhof Mannheim has released head coach Dominik Glawogger with immediate effect.
The club reacts to the weak start of the season with just one point from two games. Those who follow the 35 -year -old Austrian did not share the Mannheimers in their press release on Monday evening.
“First of all, I would like to thank Dominik for his willingness and commitment. In April, he took responsibility in a difficult phase and helped to secure the relegation,” said Mannheim’s sports director Gerhard Zuber. “Nevertheless, some developments in the past few weeks have prompted us to change the coaching position. Despite the continuity of staff, we have not managed to take the next step in our sporting development at the start of the season.”
Glawogger took over the office on the 33rd matchday of the past season. In the end of the season, two victories reach under his lead and at the end of the relegation. In the first two games of the new season, Waldhof initially played 2-2 against SC Verl, last Sunday the first defeat followed with 0-1 at Hansa Rostock.
