Large banks make a profit, private customers get less interest and pay more

The three large banks (ABN, ING and Rabo) make profit, shareholders are rewarded. But savers do not notice much of it: the savings rates were reduced in the past six months and customers have to pay more for the payment account and other services. “People are very upset about that,” says the Consumers’ Association.
