After the announced farewell to CFO Michael Diederich, the people of Munich are looking for a suitable successor-and could have found it at the league competitor.

FC Bayern could have found a replacement for the outgoing CFO Michael Diederich – and that with a rival from the Bundesliga. According to information from Sky Sport, Bayern are in “concrete conversations” with Rouven Kasper, board member for marketing and sales at VfB Stuttgart.

Kasper could take over the board position in Munich, which Diederich clears on September 30 at his own request. Bavaria President Herbert Hainer said on Sunday: “For us there is now a chance to put together the board areas new and clean.” After the departure of the then sports director Oliver Kahn 2023, Jan-Christian Dreesen and Diederich had “two finances” on the club tip. “Now we have the chance to fill the position for marketing and sales exactly as we want.”

According to the report, the 43-year-old had only recently extended his contract with the Swabians until 2028, but still wanted to switch to Munich-and is said to have already informed VfB.

Kasper is an old acquaintance on Säbener Straße: by 2022, he already worked for the German record champion, most recently as “President Asia”. It is open whether Stuttgart will easily release the managers estimated in club circles or call for a transfer. Kasper is highly valued for his work within the VfB.
