The first league match with 6-1 wins from Sparta Rotterdam and with that immediately leader in the Eredivisie. PSV trainer Peter Bosz was satisfied with a lot of things, but also showed himself critical. “There will be competitions where there are teams that punish our mistakes.”

Bosz started the press conference late on Saturday evening. ”

Bosz also sees points for improvement in attacking terms. “We played the first fifteen minutes very well, but after that it became very sloppy. It was a kind of ‘run-your-rot match’. We have to be firmer, change more and let the opponent run. The openings will come naturally. At the moments we had a long possession, we had opportunities.”

His trainer was satisfied with striker Alassane Pléa, even though the Frenchman did not score. “With him we get to play football in a different way than last season. With Luuk de Jong it was so that you could almost blindly throw a ball high in front of the pot. He also made a good pass from a bad cross. Alassane can also do well, but he fills it differently. It is a special player.”

“Something may be added.”

The arrival of the Romanian attacker Dennis Man of the Italian club Parma is not yet official, but Bosz likes to see an offensive player. “Ricardo Pepi was not there this time and therefore I only had two attackers on the couch. That is relatively little, for example in a competition where you want to give boys rest or do not want to take a risk. Three attackers is sufficient, but there might be something to be added.”

Those who also see room for improvement is defender Ryan Flamingo. “It was not good at the goal goal, we’re going to look at that. It has to be better. We want to keep the zero and win with even more goals.”

At the age of 22, the youth international has since grown into the leader Central in the back. Next to him is newcomer Yarek Gasiorowski, who has come over from Valencia. “A super good player. He just doesn’t speak Dutch or English, so we are very busy understanding each other well. The other new players at PSV are also acquisitions. There is a breath of fresh air, they have done well.”
