VfB Stuttgart handed over Enzo Millot to the Saudi first division club Al-Nahli. Since the exit clause for the 23-year-old midfielder of 20 million euros was only valid for the top 5 leagues, Al-Ahli pays 28 million euros for millot. The Frenchman, who signed a three-year contract, thus ranks third in the ranking of the most expensive sales in VfB history.
Due to its low exit clause, which was significantly below its market value of 35 million euros, Millot was a long time as a candidate for departure. Several clubs from the top European leagues, including Atlético Madrid and Tottenham, were interested in him-he was even released for discussions with the Rojiblancos. At Al-Nahli, he will now succeed Gabri Veiga, who switched to FC Porto for 15 million euros. He also meets well-known players like Ivan Toney, Allan Saint-Maximin or Franck Kessié at the Champions League winner of Asia.
Trainer Matthias Jaissle said about the newcomer: “We have been observing Enzo for some time and have thoroughly informed before our decision. He is technically talented and has excellent tactical intelligence. It is also ideal for us – this league is so body -emphasized and fast -paced that it will be well prepared in the next season. will bring and how he will add the rest of the team. “
Stuttgart’s CEO Alexander Wehrle said: “It had been indicated for a long time that Enzo would like to leave us during the ongoing transfer period. From a sporting point of view, we lose an extraordinary footballer who has gone a special way with VfB in recent years. The economic framework of this transfer is also exceptionally good, even with regard to comparable transfer in the history of our VfB.”
Millot third -tax sale of VfB Stuttgart
Millot came from AS Monaco to VfB Stuttgart in 2021 for EUR 1.75 million. In 113 games he recorded 43 goal participations. Especially in the past two seasons, he has increased its market value enormously: in June 2023, it was still 7 million euros, until December 2024 it increased to the previous maximum value of EUR 42 million. In the latest market value update, a market value of EUR 7 million has recorded a million euros.
Third place in the most expensive VfB departures takes a MILLOT behind the former international Mario Gómez, who switched to FC Bayern for EUR 30 million in 2009. The Swabians only received a higher transfer fee after the Bundesliga relegation in 2019 for Benjamin Pavard, whom it moved to Munich for 35 million euros. With Chema Andrés (3 million, Real Madrid) and Noah Darvich (1 million, FC Barcelona), VfB has retrofitted in the offensive midfield, at least in perspective.
